Green and Yellow
Acrylics, Alcohol Markers & Markers on Wood, 2021
Have I ever mentioned how much I enjoy creating these mixed media paintings? Well, I love it! Probably my favourite medium(s) to use. The bold colours and colour blending is right up my alley. But I went for a different blending technique with this one. Instead of creating a smooth blend of colours, I overlayed various colour squares until I got what I wanted. I think this technique also worked well to give it a feathered look. Of course, using the white pen to add detailing. (I honestly don’t know how I survived before without a white pen.)
